How to download Microsoft Dynamics 365 invoices

Downloading the invoice

1. Go to the Microsoft 365 admin center.
2. In Simplified view, select Products, then View invoices. In Dashboard view, go to Billing, then Bills & payments.
3. If you have more than one billing account, select Change billing account.
4. Open the invoice, then select Download and Download invoice for the PDF.

The online view and the PDF look different. If no invoices appear, change the date range or the billing account.

Bought through a partner

Microsoft also sells Dynamics 365 through authorized partners and volume licensing. In that case the invoice comes from the partner or under your licensing agreement, not from the admin center.

Reading licence changes

Each invoice line has a transaction type, such as Purchase, Add quantity, Remove quantity, Renew or Usage charges. Licences added mid-period appear on your next invoice; on annual billing you are invoiced for them within a month. On a Microsoft Customer Agreement account you have seven days to reduce a licence count; after that, the reduction shows on the first invoice after the renewal date.

Apps that are not per-user

Some Dynamics 365 apps, such as Customer Insights, are tenant-level licences rather than seats. They show under Your products in the admin center, not on the Licenses page, which can make a charge look unfamiliar next to the user count.

No payment receipts

Microsoft business subscriptions do not issue payment receipts. For card payments, match the invoice to your card statement. In some jurisdictions a Download tax receipt option appears next to the invoice ID.

Dynamics 365 invoices out of the admin center

Switch on PDF attachments in the admin center's billing notification settings and each Dynamics 365 invoice arrives with the invoice itself, ready for email receipt capture to file from a finance mailbox. If billing roles belong to IT, connect a Billing Administrator account and our AI agent signs in to Bills & payments and saves the PDFs through bill fetching, one billing account after another. If a department head bought licences on a personal card, the invoice goes on their expense report.
