How to download an Austin Water bill

Austin Water does not send a bill of its own. Water and wastewater charges appear on the City of Austin Utilities bill, along with electricity, solid waste, drainage and street service. Log in to City of Austin Utilities Online Customer Care at coautilities.com, open My Bill, use Previous and Next to move between bills, and select View bill (pdf).
One bill for several city services
Since the bill is shared, the City of Austin Utilities account number is the one you need, and Customer Care at 512-494-9400 answers questions about the water charges too. The separate My ATX Water portal shows smart meter readings, usually within 24 hours of use, and links back to City of Austin Utilities when you want to pay.
Bill lookup and account history
The My Account tab shows recent activity with billing and payment history. My Bill shows the current bill, and the Previous and Next links step through the others, each with its own PDF. Current and former customers can also ask Customer Care for past account records, including usage and billing history.
Ways to pay
- Online Customer Care: pay inside your account.
- Quick Payment: online or by phone without logging in, processed by Paymentus.
- In person: a Utility Customer Service Center or an authorized pay station.
- Mail: personal check, cashier's check or money order.
Autopay and paperless billing
Autopay is free and takes the full balance from a bank account within two business days of the due date. Enroll in Online Customer Care, by calling 512-494-9400, or with the mail or fax enrollment form. For most customers it begins with the next bill. Keep paying by hand until the Autopay message shows on your bill. Owners with several accounts must enroll each one separately. The monthly bill still comes, by mail unless you choose Paperless Billing, and that bill is the record to keep.
Austin utility bills saved as PDFs
Clicking Previous twelve times and saving each View bill (pdf) is a slow way to rebuild a year. Connect your City of Austin Utilities login and our AI agent downloads each new PDF with bill fetching. Each saved bill keeps the water, electric and trash lines together, ready for tax receipts on a rental or a home office.
