How to pay and download a CenturyLink bill
Founder & CEO, Smartbills

You can pay a CenturyLink bill in My CenturyLink (web or app) or, without signing in, through Quick Bill Pay. For a past bill, sign in, select the link to view your bill, then click a bill date on the Billing page to open its PDF. CenturyLink keeps 12 to 18 months of bills online, depending on where you live.
Who runs CenturyLink
CenturyLink is a Lumen brand, and its help pages link to Lumen in the footer. Lumen sold its consumer fiber business, Quantum Fiber, to AT&T in February 2026. The CenturyLink account pages described here are still on centurylink.com.
Paying a CenturyLink bill
- My CenturyLink website or app: a one-time card or bank payment. Bank payments are free; a one-time debit or credit card payment carries a fee.
- Quick Bill Pay: the no-login option at dssp.centurylink.com/qbp/identify.
- Automated phone line: card or bank, with the same card fee and no fee for a bank account.
- An agent by phone: CenturyLink lists a fee for any payment taken by an agent.
- Mail: check or money order, no fee.
- In person: cash, check, money order or card, with no fee.
How AutoPay works at CenturyLink
AutoPay is free by bank account or card. It begins on the billing cycle after you enroll, and until a confirmation shows in My CenturyLink or on your bill, keep paying the normal way. The withdrawal happens on your billing date, the day the bill is issued, which falls two to three weeks before the due date. Neither date can be changed. Bills keep coming while you are on AutoPay and carry a note saying so; that PDF is what to keep for your records.
Opening past bills as PDFs
- Sign in to My CenturyLink.
- On the home screen, select the link to view your bill.
- On the Billing page, click any bill date. The PDF opens for you to download or print.
CenturyLink notes that the full itemized statement is only in the PDF version. Bills older than the 12 to 18 month window can be requested through chat. After you cancel service, bills stay viewable online for up to 18 months.
Payment history
The payment history screen, on the web or in the app, lists pending and posted payments with the date, total, bill amount, any convenience fee, the method and a confirmation number. It confirms a payment; it is not a substitute for the bill.
CenturyLink PDFs before the window closes
With bills disappearing after 12 to 18 months, the safe habit is saving each PDF as it is issued. Bill fetching does that: our AI agent signs in to My CenturyLink, downloads every new bill and files it, ready for an expense report or for tax season.
