Accounting
Sage
The Sage integration sends Smartbills expense data to Sage Intacct and Sage Business Cloud with your multi-entity structure and dimensions intact. Finance no longer splits expense exports by entity before posting them.
What this integration does
Each entity posts to its own books
Expenses sync to the correct entity in Sage Intacct. Nobody has to split them by hand after the fact.
Reported against your Sage dimensions
Smartbills expense groups map to the Sage dimensions you already report on. There is no new category list for your team to adopt.
Your Sage approval rules still apply
Expenses sync through the approval rules you set in Sage, which keeps the controls your auditors tested in place.
Setting it up
In Smartbills, open Settings > Apps and search for Sage
Pick your Sage product: Sage Business Cloud Accounting or Sage Intacct
Click Connect and sign in to Sage
Map your categories to Sage ledger accounts
Set up dimensions, then the batch frequency and defaults
