How to configure receipts and invoices for Clover POS device

Enabling Smartbills digital receipts and invoices

If you are still using the built-in feature from Clover, it's time to install the Smartbills app. Smartbills create a better customer experience for your clients, by not asking them for their personal information.

How do I modify receipt printing on my Clover device?

Setup required:

  • Clover Flex/Mini

Steps:

  1. From the Home menu, select Setup

  2. Select Payment

  3. Select whether or not you'd like customer receipts to print after each order

  4. Modify the appearance under the Appearance

Additional Information

Depending on customer preferences, you can choose to have an email or text directly to customers options by disabling automatic receipt printing.

How to disable/enable automatic paper receipts on a Clover device

Setup required:

  • Clover Mini/Flex

Steps:

  1. Select the Setup icon on the home screen of the Clover device

  2. Select the Payment section

  3. Select or unselect the option that says 'Automatically print after each order'

  4. Additional Information

  5. After each transaction, the Clover device will provide you with the option to print a paper receipt.
